SUMMER DAY

8X10
OIL.CANVAS BOARD

FOR JEFF,   ON YOUR BIRTHDAY.

Oklahoma summers are hot, hazy, and humid.  I don't do well with hot, hazy, and humid but........  we do have cool and colorful autumns and mild winters, usually.  Guess I'll stay where I'm planted.

  4. Hello Gary, will try to send some Oklahoma heat up to Yellowstone for you. Certainly envy your beautiful country scenery. Love your work and photos and visit often. Thanks.

  5. This is lovely! It's hot and humid here in Georgia too, and it's green, green, green. I need to learn to fudge the green and add more color like this....

  6. Beautiful Painting. I love your style. Coarsegold summers aren't too pleasant either but, we do have Yosemite to escape to problem is it can be just as hot there in Yosemite Valley, have to go to higher parts of the park to cool off a little. But that's o.k.

  7. We have the green in Oklahoma also. Actually, the commercial slogan for this part of Oklahoma is "Green Country". Fortunately, we also have the red grasses for some contrast. Still, had to learn to mix a wide range of greens.
